Thank you to everyone at The Mayor’s House. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect multi-generational holiday. The house, the location, the pool! Couldn't have asked for better. We’ve rented all over the world and The Mayor’s House is at the top of our list. We hope to be back soon. A special thank you to Jackie for going above and beyond to help us with the local hospital visit (and all sorts of other things!). She’s spectacular.

WOW! What can we say… the house exceeded all of our expectations, the pool was heavenly, the hot tub under the stars magical and the beds were wonderfully comfortable. The location was exceptional and much fun was had exploring the beaches of Annecy and some of your great restaurant suggestions in the fantastic A-Z house guide.

We’ve had a marvellous week! The setting is extraordinary and the facilities in the house are fantastic. The children particularly enjoyed the pool, cinema room (excellent DVD selection), sports pitch and hot tub. The adults enjoyed the rowing machine, pizza oven and pin-ball machine. The ping-pong table and snooker table provided great entertainment.

The Mayor’s House is the most luxurious house our families could have spent these 2 weeks in. Some of our highlights have been the sauna, spa, movie room, but mostly enjoying meals and and relaxing in the stunning sitting room by the fire. Our favourite outings included day trips to Chamonix for some skiing, Annecy and the horse and cart in Le Grand Bornand was a favourite for the children. We want to make a special thank you to Jackie- you have been outstandingly helpful. You are like a ray of sunshine!

We were lucky enough to spend a week at The Mayor’s House at February half term. What a comfortable and special place it is.
The rooms are tastefully furnished and extremely comfortable. I was lucky enough to stay in the master suite which really was beyond any decent expectation. There were some teething troubles with electrics tripping (no doubt challenged by having five teenage girls in our party and their propensity to leave every light on, while drying their hair and using the hot tub and sauna all at the sane time!) I know they are doing everything they can about this though and it wasn’t a problem at all for us.
The house was warm and cosy with a roaring fire and there was a welcome to match in our hosts Ann and Theo. Now I am home, I miss them. I think the children do too, although I suspect Theo will only just have recovered from RSI from the pancakes he tirelessly made them each morning. I think they will remember that forever.
The food was nothing short of sensational. Each night brought something totally different. Theo claimed the dishes were simple, but he wasn’t fooling us. There is an art to making things this delicious - and Theo certainly has the gift. Whether meat or fish, it was all cooked to perfection.
Ann couldn’t do enough for us and we enjoyed her sense of humour, readiness to make you a cuppa (and she never forgot how we took our respective drinks). She was on hand to help deal with our minibuses at a moment’s notice when we needed to change our plans. And the cocktails - a really nice touch. I confess on occasion I took mine in my ginormous free standing bath looking up onto the mountains - and I am not going to apologise for it!
Thanks for having us. It was a trip to remember. Adults and kids alike, we had a holiday to remember and would not hesitate to come back or recommend to others.
